Community members on Friday gathered in San Jose for a Veterans Day parade – one of the largest in the country – to honor those who answered the call when the nation needed them. Damian Trujillo reports.
United Veteran's Council of Santa Clara County presents the 104th Annual Veteran's Day Parade honoring the men and women who have worn uniform or are presently serving in the armed forces of the United States.
2021 Veterans Day Parade Downtown San Jose California. Hosted by the United Veterans Council of Santa Clara County (UVC). Emcee for the event was Mark Ibanez KTVU Sports director. Grand Marshal was COL (R) USMC Bill Peacock. Parade participation and attendee’s included senior Federal, State and City Elected officials with numerous representation from first responders. Aircraft flyover was perform by the CA Air National Guard with C130 Hercules aircraft and HH60 Pave Hawk rescue helicopter. Estimated attendance was approximately 15-20K citizens of Santa Clara County and surrounding cities. The largest Veterans Day parade ceremony in Northern California honoring all "Heroes in Motion”
